Showing people how to leverage their strengths and land a better job is Sue Ekberg's expertise and passion. She is skilled at helping adults:
- Recognize their unique strengths;
- Articulate their value to others; and
- Uncover the hidden job market for more successful and satisfying work.
She has been doing this - and loving it - for a long time, since 1982 to be exact. It's all about working and living on purpose.
Her career counseling career began at Saint Louis University. For 11 years she worked with undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni to develop their career focus and to find rewarding work. During the next 6 years, as Director of the Career Center at Webster University, her desire and skills for working with adults blossomed.
Sue launched her independent career counseling practice in June 2000. Although she has coached people ages 17 - 71, her expertise is in coaching mid-career, college-educated adults. People in law, medicine, sales, marketing, social services, financial services, the arts, technology, and education are among the those who have benefited from career counseling - whether to advance in their careers or shift directions.
Sue earned her B.A. in Psychology at Adrian College, M.S. in Psychology at S.U.N.Y Cortland, and Ph.D. in Education, Counseling emphasis, at Saint Louis University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a graduate of Coach University, a virtual training company for coaches. |
